The Members of Epic MTB ran “The Blast” on Sun 11th Sept 2011, this event was Ireland’s premier yearly mountain biking event.. Who would have thought that Ireland’s premier, An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, would present the award for “Best MTB Event 2011”      

An Taoiseach also presented EPIC with the award for “Outstanding Contribution to Irish Mountainbiking”

Seen pictured to accept the awards on behalf of the club  are  the President of Epic, Mr. Richie Byrne, and the club’s Chairman Alfie Wallace.

Now it is important to note this award was voted by the Irish Mountainbike Community and The Offroad Commission of Cycling Ireland.
